The brief
Dubai Future Foundation runs the Lead & Design programme as an immersive week in Copenhagen, bringing designers, innovators and leaders together for sessions, talks, workshops and a multi-day design sprint. The content has to carry the programme back to Dubai — and has to land while the week is still happening, not weeks later.
That created two real constraints. The cohort moves between venues across the city, so coverage has to travel with them rather than sit in one room. And the client team is coordinating from another continent, which means the production has to run without supervision and report back daily.
Two editions
2025 — first edition
Eight-day leadership immersion
An eight-day programme running 13–20 September, progressing from team connection and leadership mindsets into human-centred design, storytelling, a city innovation hunt and a two-day design sprint.
- Coverage: six programme days, on-site shooter

2026 — returning
Expanded, five-venue production
The client returned unprompted for a second edition, with a wider scope: more production days, more venues and a broader deliverable list including aerial coverage and speaker audio.

What we delivered in 2026

Why it worked
Rolling daily delivery was the decision that shaped everything else. Instead of handing over a single archive at the end of the week, our crew edited and delivered as the programme ran — so the client could post while the cohort was still in Copenhagen, and could see the coverage building rather than waiting to find out what they’d received.
A three-person crew led by Roland Varsbergs covered the week: lead camera and direction, a second photographer across parallel sessions, and behind-the-scenes capture. That meant a workshop and a keynote happening at the same time in different rooms both got covered, which a single shooter cannot do on a programme that runs sessions in parallel.
The result is the one that matters: Dubai Future Foundation came back for a second year without being asked, and expanded the scope when they did.
